The Cubic Axolotl Animation is a parallax 2D animation created using Photoshop for the Graphics Fundamentals course in DAE, Howest. We were tasked to choose one of the provided artworks, analyze it, create a styleguide from it, and to use that styleguide to create a parallax animation.

I wanted to go for something serene and peaceful, as I thought it was fitting with the original artwork. That is why I chose for a soft Axolotl, and calm elements like the stacked rocks and Greek pillars.
The styleguide needed to feel coherent, and include the colors scheme, shape language, perspective, value contrast, saturation contrast, texture, and composition used, all taken from the original artwork.
