SONAR on Steam

SONAR is a survival-horror game set on an alien planet. Explore vast, dark caves with a sound camera that reveals the world through visible SONAR pulses. Research unknown species through photographs, audio recordings, and collecting samples. Enhance yourself and survive deeper explorations. Something I'm particularly proud of is that the AI creatures in SONAR actually rely on my own DynaRoute plugin for Unity as a way for me to stresstest my own system in a production environment.

In this first version of the cover art, I tried to include the most relevant elements of the game: the cave, sonar signal, enemies, and elements of the ancient civilization that once inhabited the planet.

You don't have to be afraid of dying, after all, there are plenty of other human vessels waiting to be inhabited by your consciousness. I tried making this feel grand by stacking rows and rows of cryo-chambers on top of each other.

Even though its a bit dark, there are two monsters in this screenshot.

Here we can see one of the ritual sites that still remain in the caves of Soles. The alien civilization that once inhabited the planet left behind many traces of their culture, and this is one of them.

High-frequency SONAR signals can be your greatest tool, or your worst enemy. Some monsters hate the sound, some love to approach it.

Spreading love through the caves of Soles.

You'll see this door a lot, as it is the only way to enter and exit the caves of Soles. The research lab is a safe haven for you to rest, research, and prepare for your next exploration.
